Thanks for the suggestions. I'm reminded that I can use Legacy in a flexible
manner, and not feel that if I list a Census Event for one person, I have to do
it for every ancestor I find.

Hello, all!
My question might chime in with a previous thread on "census as event" vs.
"census as source."
Thanks to a recently-received copy of the original of my great-grandparents'
marriage return, I now know for sure that a certain couple were my
great-grandmother's parents and their elder ch
Point taken. Sadly, in this case the mother of both was that prolific matron,

Here's where I really display my ignorance :-)
What should I look for in the MRIN box to tell me somebody has two spouses?
Actually, having entered a bit more info and run the resulting charts, I think
a lot of the problem is coming from intergenerational marrying of cousins and
so on. Maybe t
gacy can't cope with the age difference between the two
siblings. Or maybe my source has left out a generation?
Any other ideas?
Thanks,

generations. I don't have complete dates for either, and it's possible my
source may have left out a generation. But could this be what's causing the
charting glitch?

didn’t want that to happen, so I told Legacy to save it as a separate source,
and now I have the Detail Text reading the same as the Master Text for the
second life event, instead of just the relevant quotations I chose. Doing
something wrong . . . what?
Thanks again, to all.
