Kirsten,
Thanks, if all else fails I will go the GEDCOM route as you suggested. When I
brought in a GEDCOM from another family tree program to begin MY Legacy
database, it made quite a mess of my sources and other notes. I was hoping she
could get my 'good' Legacy file just as I view and use it
I messed up this time. I backed up my Legacy .fdb file as advised, but it made

sister yesterday as I thought it would confuse things and it wasn't important
for her to have the photos and PDF stuff. So, when she tried t
Is it critical for her to have the .fdb in c:\Legacy\Data? My files are in my
Documents folder, buried several levels down...I know that's been discussed

trying to communicate with her, but she is learning fa
According to the Help files, she should be able to just open a .fdb file,
shouldn't she? She is not very computer savvy (as if I am! ha!) so I am trying
to make this as easy for her as possible. We aren't having much luck so far.

I am trying to send my sister my Legacy family file as an email attachment. I
attached the appropriate .fdb file to an email and she tried to detach
it/download it onto her C: drive.
Then she opened up the "free" Legacy program on her PC and it cannot seem to
locate or open the .fdb file I sent
Hooray! I really missed the group and its input. Thanks for getting us 'back!"
