I presume you are using the British GRO records office BMD Index quarters
and Legacy has

Use the LAST month of the Quarter Mar, Jun, Sep and Dec followed by Q
ie. Mar Q then the year.
This is all explained in the Help file. Open help and search for dates,
you will see

you can also enter as q3 1964 and it will flick to Sep Q 1964
