I presume you are using the British GRO records office BMD Index quarters and Legacy has a date format for those. Use the LAST month of the Quarter Mar, Jun, Sep and Dec followed by Q ie. Mar Q then the year. This is all explained in the Help file. Open help and search for dates, you will see
