Margaret, In the Descendant book options - Wording Tab 2 the default is General Notes: Make that General Notes:[CR] Then your title will be on a new line and it should be preserving your formatting. It seems to be in Legacy 9. If you want General Notes also in bold, highlight it and use the k

For many years now I have transcribed under the General tab, deeds, wills, obits, etc. I have always put the first item I entered on the first line. Then I would bold and under the heading for the item I was transcribing. However, when I finally decided to print the details in a report such as "De
