The simplest solution is to download and use PrintFolder (

You can print the listing of everything in a folder.
Here is an example of the output.

I think you need some sort of screen capture tool. Start a new thread with
that as the subject, and I know people will respond with what they use.

Might it not be simpler to use the Generic Text printer?
Always assuming of course that that list can be printed from
within Legacy -- I don't use a docs folder.

Hi Lavern'
You can't copy a directory's files to the clipboard.
If you go to:
http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp
you can D/L a free program to do that.
Good luck

Hi, Randy!
I could copy one name at a time, but isn't there a way to copy the entire list?
Thanks,

Laverne,
This is a Windows question not Legacy. I suggest that you Google "Windows xx
list file names" no quotes and substitute Windows version for xx.

If the list of files is long and it's important to you then there is a
solution:
- Open the "Command Prompt" window (also known as the DOS Box).
- Enter:
dir /b "C:\Legacy\Docs" > %tmp%\docs.txt
This will create a "docs.txt" file in the Temp Directory

Hello all-
In my Legacy directory, I have documents
saved in the "Docs" folder. I've tried to
copy the list of docs contained in that
folder by going to Edit>select all>copy
then pasted what I thought would be
the complete list of doc names, into a
Word doc.
What I got when I did the Paste--
