I have something similar with my brother. He's my mom's son but not my
dad's and there was never a formal adoption, just a name change (I know
there was paperwork but I do not have it nor have I seen it). I still list
him as the adopted son of my father because that is the relationship they
have.
I have trawled these archives but can't get my head around entering this
particular example.
Child Basil is born to Joanna and John. His mother Joanna dies a year later.
He is raised from then by his maternal aunt Frances, the sister of Joanna.
Presently I have Basil recorded as biological son of
