How many pictures have you attached to the person? If there are only
three those are all that can display. I just tested a person with 8
pictures linked to them and I see my reply to Pat was incorrect. The
left position displays one picture, next tick displays 4 in a 2x2

Ah, ha!!
Thanks, Brian. However, as Boyd said, I only get three side by side and
there *is* a *lot* of wasted space! Why??

Pat,
Look in the lower right of the media gallery screen. There is a slider
there which controls how many files are displayed at one time. Yours is
probably on the right tick mark for a single picture. Click on the arrow
and drag it to the far right to increase the number of simultaneous
files to

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. And I can't find any sort of option
to change what's displayed. Actually it does the same thing for

Well, I may have other reasons for attaching more than one picture --
however, from now on, I'll just keep copying the event so that I can attach
a picture to it.
Quelle nuisance.

Yes it would since the ancestor report does not support pictures for
children. It is designed mainly for showing your ancestors. Children of
your ancestors are mentioned if they are requested on the include tab of
the report but are optional and are not the "aim" of the report.

Thanks, Brian,
Yes, that took care of the problem for event pictures, but not pictures of
children, which is still whited out. This is for an ancestor book -- would
that be relevant??

Try using the reset button for the report to set options to the
defaults. That will probably reactivate the option to include event
pictures and pictures of children.
