You are right Kathy. The GEDCOM Standard provides tags for Basic data such as Events with dates, places, notes and sources but does not include a way to compose a sentence for those events. The standard allows software developers to extend the function of the GEDCOM output using special tags to

Hi, Legacy's standard gedcom 5.5 output is missing event data. When I create an event sentence definition it would be nice to have the fields interpreted so that we have the translated sentence in the gedcom file. Events data is not missing in the Legacy to Legacy GEDCOM, but it is in GEDCOM
