Terry, I used to tell people to right click but so many now don't seem familiar with right click menus so I indicate the other way. It would be worth your while becoming familiar with all the icons on the husband/wife toolbars on Family View. Cathy Terry Montgomery

Thanks, Cathy. Couldn't follow your instructions. They didn't seem to apply or I misunderstood them. But I right-clicked on the panel with my name in it and was offered the option to "unlink > from wife". Did that and all was well. "from wife" is now greyed out. Divorce now "divorce absolute

Terry, On Family view, click your Spouse icon when you are in one of the centre positions. If you don't know which, hover over the icons and it will say. It will indicate you have 1 spouse. Highlight the unknown spouse and click Unlink. Just clicking the marriage information screen can add a sp

Hi Wes, Two issues causing you problems I think though I'm not exactly clear what you are doing as you are giving a Marriage sentence - but that is built in but can be varied a little at Options > Customise 8.7 or using the Wording tab in the Marriage Information. The normal is say Amanda marrie
