Did someone hack your Facebook Account. I have had an account for years and have never had to provide picture ID to validate my identity nor has Facebook deactivated my account. Maybe the "deactivation" is an attempt by hackers not Facebook to get you to provide private information. Brian

And then there are those of us who have had our facebook account "deactivated" by facebook. Facebook is requiring a copy of picture ID to be uploaded (they will let it be deleted after 12 or 18 months). After all the identity theft and all the information leaks, there is no way I'm going to upload

As my hubby says "dinosaurs" . At least as we age and don't always keep up with the new tech stuff, we kinda feel that way! The staff spends most of their time on Facebook, but there are beta testers and ex-staffers who are posting here. Your questions will get answered by someone who knows!
