I am a new user of Legacy. With other software that I have used I
always enter surnames in uppercase. I have continued this with my
files in Legacy but get a red warning. Please could someone tell me
how to avoid these warnings and make
be good. If I am not
mistaken, you would enter the surname as normal and it will be capitalized.

You always want to enter surnames in Legacy in Initial Caps.
The names can be printed in reports as all upper case is you desire.
There are lots of names that should not be entered as all upper case: McDonald
and any other Mc or Mac at beginning of last name. Others might be
DelaConcepion, La
