Richard, I'm sure you meant the lower right. We had a discussion awhile back and found out even when you close the window with the X in the corner it updates the date. One would think that without modifying the record the date would not change. However, pressing 'Cancel' did not change the date.

The Modified Date of the highlighted person appears in the extreme bottom left on the family view or pedigree view. That date gets updated to the current date when you click "Save" on Edit Individual screen. There are lots of changes you can make without updating that date, including changing a pe
