Those Scandinavian names are simply difficult to find all versions of them
existing within Family Tree. I diligently search FamilySearch Family Tree for
individuals I research and when I cannot find them on Family Tree, I add them.
Lo, and behold, once I've added several people in the family,
I also have not been happy with how Family Search sources don't match
with other LDS systems or other sources. During the 2002 - 2007 time
period I spent countless hours researching my Finnish family, ordering
micro fiche from Salt Lake City, reading hand-written records in birth,
baptism,
FamilySearch doesn't allow sources attached to any 'Other Events'. You can
only tag sources to name, gender, birth, christening, death and burial.
Although you can add sources and NOT tag them to anything.
Have you looked at how Legacy sources show up on FamilySearch Family Tree?

Legacy seems to only recognize sources for Birth, Marriages and Deaths
as being valid sources to upload to
