Perhaps they should be more specific about the meaning of "Unspecified" .

+1 to what Ron said.
I'll continue to use this button, as it is helpful, especially when
adding a new person to the database. But, you can bet that I'll skip
it, or at least use it with extreme care, should I be tempted to use
it again on somebody with existing events.

I missed that check box on the source citation. That is going to make my
life much easier. This is why this User Group adds value

Events can only be sourced as a whole, not individual fields. Same for
