Thanks Ron. Will have to check my h/d - if there isn't enough room I may have to try using an external h/d - he has a daisy chain of h/D's but they are Mac formatted of course! Thank you for your guidance on this. Marion. On Jul 30, 2014 11:48 PM, "Ron Taylor" wrote: > Marion, > If you have room

Marion, If you have room on your Windows computer to store all the Mac photos, do that.  Once the photos that are linked to the database have been relinked, then backup the clean Legacy database and the linked media.  Copy the zip backup files somewhere.  Delete all the photos that you brought o

Marion, You can go back to Reunion if you wish.  That would be like having a Ferrari in the garage and opt to drive the Yugo.  Both might be fun but with different outcomes.  If your media files are not excessively scattered on the Mac, then copy all of them to an external drive or USB stick and

I have converted Reunion files before.  This article gives a lot of information from an actual Reunions user.  The conversion involves using a GEDCOM which is the only way to move the information to another program like Legacy.  With that knowledge, you only need to realize that a GEDCOM does no

Hi Marion, A gedcom is a text only file, so photos, as such, do not 'come with the gedcom'. There could be a pointer to the photo, if that is how Reunion handles the files. I have no experience with Reunion. Bob marion wimsett said the following on 27/07/2014 23:45: > Thanks you Wendy, >

Hi Marion, I expect you will need to export a GEDCOM file from the Reunion database, and then import that file into Legacy (File > Import). How you physically get the file from the Mac to the PC depends on what resources you have there. If you share a Dropbox folder with your husband, pop it into
