Enter both partners in male and female positions in Family View.
You now need to change one partner’s gender, for instance the one designated
Female that you want to change to Male.

This comes up from time to time. Here is what I do and while it isn't perfect
it works for me.
Enter to same sex partner in the wife's position (if you are entering two men)
and then go to the marriage screen and click on the "Wording Options" tab.
From there you can change the label

Why don't you play with the sample tree that is included. Much safer
you could also make your own sample and play with that importing
and exporting it.
I am a bit lazy so I probably would record a name like "Same Sex
Partner" Smith

Occasionally an import has gone wrong, and the sex of a partner has
been the opposite of what it is supposed to be. Legacy doesn't refuse
to import the detail, but gives a warning message.

Thanks Brian for your comment. This was in the early 1900s in Nottingham
and my great aunt's occupation was a lace runner in the Lace Mill's.
But that hasn't answered my basic question, how am I going to enter this

I knew that it wasn't possible, but I thought that Legacy was just a
little "behind the times." Another small graphical program I use just
to do quick look-ups, is similar, but development on that stopped
some years ago. Here in Australia, a law allowing same-sex marriages
didn't get through Parli
Before you let your own personal views and prejudices override the actions of
