Yes, as long as they both have different names. I currently have “Kennedy
Family” which is the sample database and “MyRoots” which is my main file.

How does the families app compare to Gedstar Pro.
I dl Gedstar last week and it seems to work fine although you cant make changes
which you apparently can with the families app.
The gedstar app is free, you only have to pay for the converter so you can use
it on several devices. Families you hav

As far as I know, there is no GEDCOM involved with Families. It has a two way
interface with your Legacy file, updates on either your computer or your tablet
are synced to the other. The Ipad version uses Itunes to sync, Android version
uses a separate syncing app.
