over 20 drives. I have not done sector scans on these, but I did a
"write zeros" command on all of them and reformatted them. Any that
failed, gave me errors, sounded, or acted strange, I trashed. All are

UPDATE: I got the mini booted with the internal hard drive, so
apparently the interconnect and logic boards are okay, but it will not
boot when the optical drive is connected. Could only the top part of
the interconnect board be bad? Maybe, but I doubt it. So it seems like
it's the optical drive
