This is a Zoom Telephonics Model 3049 data/fax modem. It is a current
product, and is a true hardware modem. I can include an RS-232 to Apple
9-pin serial adapter cable which allows it to connect to any PowerMac with
serial ports.
Zoom has both Mac OS and OS X modem scripts for this model, but
I have a VillageTronic Voodoo I card, specifically the MacMagic 8 MB card.
It offers hardware 3D Glide acceleration, and also can support RAVE
3D acceleration. It uses a Mac's OEM video card, or any other card that
supports 2D video, to handle standard video.
