My father passed away last month, leaving (among many other things) a small mountain of Apple ][ era software and hardware. I am trying to gauge if there is any interest at all in this era of computing, and am still not certain exactly all that he has, as we are quite literally tunneling into his office, trying to sort everything out.
I know he has a heavily smoke-stained ][GS, probably outfitted to the maximum of that era, and I've found several cards of various sorts still in the factory shrink wrap for it. He also left a mountain of software, including every Beagle Brothers title (I believe, he was a huge fan of them), as well as several hundred floppies containing his life's work in electrical engineering and cryptography. He also has what I believe is every single serious reference manual ever produced for the Apple ][ series. If anyone is interested in anything from this era, please let me know via email; I'll make a list and let you know when we uncover whatever it is you may be looking for. I must reiterate that most of this equipment is heavily cigarette smoke stained; he was a heavy smoker and spend most of his retirement years happily smoking and taping away at his keyboard alone in his office. - I will also add that this is part of what killed him, and although he was 85 and lived a good long life, he suffered terribly from a number of aliments over the last decade, which his smoking habit both initiated and made worse.
