Dear LEM swap, I received a brand new iPhone 6s warranty replacement at the Apple Store last weekend. I went for the battery replacement program, but afterwards the new battery wouldn’t charge properly and the volume up/down buttons no longer worked reliably. I returned to the store, the Genius verified the new problems, and I received a factory replacement phone.
The specs are: 64 GB, Silver, wrapped in Apple cellophane, no accessories. Of note, this phone (Model A1633 GSM) supports band 12 (700 MHz) on t-Mobile. Earlier iPhones (5s and prior) did not. Band 12 means that range and signal are hugely improved if you’re in a weak area for t-Mobile. I did verify the new phone turns on and is factory unlocked: it works on both my tMobile SIM and my sister’s AT&T SIM. The 90 day Apple replacement warranty is active. The phone will ship in the original Apple replacement box (“assembled in China” and serial number—it seems to be a brand new unit, not a refurb. phone), placed inside a padded flat rate box.
