I have been using this machine sparingly over the past few months, and have since gotten a newer machine so I no longer need this one. It is a mid 2009 13” Macbook Pro (this one: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2.53-aluminum-13-mid-2009-sd-firewire-800-unibody-specs.html <http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2.53-aluminum-13-mid-2009-sd-firewire-800-unibody-specs.html> ). It has a 2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 4 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive. It comes with the original machine-specific Mac OS 10.5.7 OS and Apps install disc and a MagSafe charger (with extension) in good condition. It does not have the original box or any other accessories.
The machine is very clean. The screen is bright and clear. Some very minor surface scratches on various parts of the machine, but no denting or banged up corners, etc. The keyboard backlight works well, all keys are clear and letters/numbers are not worn off. Optical drive works fine…I reinstalled the OS from the included DVDs with the built-in drive. iSight has been tested and other ports have been tested as well. All is working as it should be (see next paragraph for lone exception). >From time to time, I have had issues getting it to accept a charge. The >magsafe adapter won’t immediately light up to orange. If I jiggle the cable it >will then usually start charging normally. I have recently done a full wipe >and reinstall of the OS, and have been able to get it to charge just fine. So >not sure exactly what’s going on with that, or if it is something that can or >should be fixed. But wanted to be up front about that. This machine will run Mac OS 10.10, but I’m including the original 10.5.7 installed on the drive per LEM rules. You will either need another computer on which to download the 10.10 installer, or you can first install 10.6 on this (not included, but available from apple for $20) and then download the 10.10 installer. If you are interested in a different drive, I have a few options here that I’ll install for you before shipment. Add the price of these drives to the base price of the machine listed below, and I will swap out the existing 160 gb drive. -1 TB HGST 2.5” 7200 RPM drive (brand new) - add $60 -115 GB OWC SSD (used) - add $60 I’d like $350 shipped, or best offer, for this machine. I accept paypal, Google Checkout, Amazon payments, check/M.O., etc. Items will ship upon receipt of cleared payment. Email me at clayshowal...@gmail.com to express interest. I reserve the right to sell it to the first person that can follow through with completing payment, even if they are not necessarily the first to respond to my post.
