I found an Asante Micro EN/SC SCSI-Ethernet adapter from a set that I used
with my older PowerBooks. I've sold my PowerBooks years ago, but it worked
on a 180 running 7.6 and a 2300c Duo with mini-dock running Mac OS 8
(attaches to the HDI-30 SCSI port). This adapter is powered directly from
an ADB port (250mA). It's one of the only few options of connecting
Ethernet directly to your older PowerBooks and use TCP/IP. I've used
Netscape Navigator back then.

Comes in the original box, manual, driver diskette (latest driver version
available on the web), power cable, and LAN cable. I recall that some
10Mbps/100Mbps auto-detecting routers/bridges sometimes get confused with
the 10Mbps-only port of the adapter; this can easily be remediated by an
intermediate 10Mbps-only bridge.

$55 shipped to the lower 48 from Hillsboro, OR.
