Swappers, I have a project-y or for-parts Graphite Clamshell iBook 366MHz (M2453 - no FireWire) available if anyone wants to play with it. 6GB HDD, 192MB RAM, CD-ROM, 1 USB port, Ethernet, dead battery, dead PRAM, no AirPort card.
Cosmetically, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. It's okay, but showing obvious signs of being 11 years old. The screen is in perfect shape, with no dead/stuck pixels. When it was running, we just used it for email and word processing. It'd be nice for OS9-era educational games, too. What's wrong with it: It's technically running OSX Panther (10.3), but when I ran software updates to apply the very last security patch Apple released, it lost its boot tree on restart. It was running perfectly before, but it can't find its OS now, and I don't have the right install disks to fix it. I can run Disk Utility off of one of my CDs, and it's able to verify the boot-tree issue, but the "Repair" option isn't available. If you have a retail Apple OSX *CD* of any flavor, or the exact machine-specific disks for this model, you should be able to fix it. More details about the error message available if you need them. Asking $50 shipped, or best offer. Pictures available. If no one takes this cranky 'book, it goes to the electronics recycling pile.
