I bought this about a month ago from, OWC (www.macsales.com), it been nothing but great but decided I didn't need as much data storage space as the Drobo offers, plus I need to pay some bills. I like to think of this more of of an Data robot than an external hard drive. The drobo automatically backups you data using data redundancy. If a hard is about to fail you an simply swap with a new one without worrying about losing any data. It's very quick at transferring large amounts of data from you computer to the drobo or vice-versa, it has two Firewire 800 ports & 1 USB port.
