If you're a collector of compact Macs, this is pretty close to a "holy grail"
item.

It's an original Macintosh SE/30 that has 2 rare upgrades:

1. Daystar Powercache SE/30 40mHz CPU upgrade with 40mHz FPU: This is the
version of the Powercache accelerator that plugs into the CPU socket on the
logic board, leaving the PDS slot free for other upgrades. It runs great and is
pretty darn fast (for a 030 chip). I also have the original box and docs for
the Daystar card, including the original 68030 chip that was pulled from the
SE/30. This is the only accelerator you can use and still be able to use the
Xceed cards for greyscale

2. Micron's Xceed greyscale card with the PDS color card (Color30) that allows
for display of 256 shades of grey on the internal screen as well as allowing
for 256 color display on an external monitor (though you can't display 8-bit
graphics on both screens at the same time, 1 of them has to be set to black and
white). These are really rare and hard to find. This is an original Micron card
set, not one of the clone cards that was manufactured later (around 2000, I
think). II don't have any of the materials for the Xceed cards, but the manuals
and software are available (if you search a bit) online.

The RAM has been upgraded to 80MB and it still has the original 40MB internal
hard drive (which is working great). Even the drive activity light on the front
panel works correctly. It is currently running Mac OS 7.5.5, and the monitors
control panel works with the Xceed card transparently, no special drivers
required. The Powercache control panels/extensions are installed as well.

The condition of the Mac SE/30 is very good. No cracks on the case, no burn-in
on the screen. Everything works great, and it boots up with no issues. The
screen is nice and bright, the sound works great, etc.

The case is moderately yellowed. I'm sure you could disassemble and lighted the
plastics with one of the methods documented online, but I've decided against
that as I've also read that it can weaken the plastic. Again, the case
appearance is overall very good, but it's not the original "platinum grey".

I've had this SE/30 since 1998, and it's been in storage for the last 6-7
years. I've pulled it out every year or 2 just to make sure everything is still
working. It's clear I'm not going to set this up to use anytime soon, so I've
decided to see if there is interest in it. I'm hoping that this will go to
another serious collector, so please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions, etc.

It will come with an Apple ADB mouse and keyboard.
I'm not interested in parting it out, so please don't ask.

I'm asking $500 (or best reasonable offer) for the system including shipping in
the USA. International shipping would be extra. It will be well packed and
shipped via USPS.
