Adding to the last post from John Hokanson re iMac and OS9 or OS X. The G3 iMacs that are slot load type do extremely well running Mac OS X 10,3. Having 256MBs of memory is a great combination. Of course more memory is better and it will run with 128. 256 or more is a good choice. I have seen OS X 10.3 PANTHER CDs for $20-$35. You do not have to have a Panther disk that came with iMac. It seems that many other Mac OS disks for G3s will work just fine( Power Mac G3, iBook G3 etc) Also, on behalf of the majority of LEM swappers there was a posted responce to your original posted question, Pauline we regret the inappropriate posted repsonce on low end mac.
