The PowerBoy is a high performance accelerator upgrade for the 6100-series Power Micromac Powerboy Processor 604 PowerPCMacintosh or Performa model. It features a PowerPC 604 processor and was designed to fit the Processor Direct Slot of the Power Macintosh 6100/Performa 6110.The processor included a 32k level 1 cache and 256k level 2 cache. It’s speed was controlled by the doubling of the original computer’s processor speed so that it worked at 120mHz in a Powermac 6100/60mHz and 132mHz in a Powermac 6100/66.Note that this upgrade card is supported by system 7.1 through to Mac OS 8.6 only.
