The optical drive in my daughter's 12" G4 iBook just ate a CD and won't give
it back, I need to replace this drive.

Looking for a Combo DVDR/CDRW, full size IDE unit that 10.4 will
recognize. Patchburn crutch OK, too.
No need to write DVDs. It's to replace the orig MATSHITADVD-ROM
SR-8584A that came in a G4 tower. Tiger ignores the unit, except thru
Profiler. Firmware updates appear out of the question.
I'm looking for an internal combo/cd or dvd drive for an iMac G3.
Drive needs to be tested and in good working order.
