Hello, I have a problem with a 15" Powerbook. Battery won't be charged. I don't know if it's the battery that's dead or the PB charging circuits that are the gonners. So what I want to do is test a battery that's known to charge, but not necessarily a brand new (since it might be the computer that's dead...). So, if you're holding on to an older PB 15inch battery that will hold a few minutes of charge and WILL charge/ discharge correctly (please test with your PB before you reply - the battery should be able to power the computer for a few minutes without AC), then I would be glad to trade for it some sticks of RAM. I have all types from SDRAM to DDR, mostly for desktops, so you can max out that G3 or G4 or G5 tower of yours.
This link will help you identify what kind of batteries you have lingering about: http://www.itworld.com/hardware/59268/differentiate-four-powerbook-g4-batteries Also the battery's model is: A1148 and rated at 10.8V. The PB is a 5,4 model at 1.5Ghz. Thanks in advance, Tοny/Prοiοs/Palο Altο/CA/94301 -- You received this message because you are a member of the LEM Swap group.
