hello; these writings were from farid fazliahmetov.he was a partisan miner
and talked about the way he used explosives on the german invaders etc.
.............' to combat partisan harrassment on the railways,the germans
built fortifications,laid mines around crossings,stations and bridges,and
then chopped down trees on both sides of the tracks.guards mowed down people
who appeared on the tracks or anywhere near them.we often watched german
sappers with mine detectors and dogsmoving down railway tracks,preceded by
guards on both sides of the tracks who also had dogs with them sometimes.what
we did was to lay our mines after the guards had gone.fooling the bloodhounds
was more difficult.they had been trained to nose out tolite[a compound of
tnt],so they found the mines.then we started to divert there atttention by
dropping little bits of melted tolite here and there.the dogs would mistake
thses for mines.they would be then punished for that,and start ignoring the
real mines.'
the germans remarked wrily: ' the partisans have
recruited our dogs '
