My question now is if the TCA correction really need to be at the same focal
lengths as the distortion corrections. This camera doesn't provide precise
control of zoom, so I would have to generate a new set of both corrections in
order for them to match.

In this case -- which I've observed myself quite frequently -- I'd
recommend to use the slider position

existing profile. My first attempt involved feeding five images to hugin's
tca_correct tool. Using the numbers generated produced some improvement
