I've had trouble finding a Linux-2.6 distribution for Sun Sparc. I'm also working around my company firewall which will not let me use update software like "yum" and Gentoo's Portage system. I can only download rpm's and tarballs. LFS-6.0 requires Linux-2.6 on the host distribution. Gerard Beek

I am following LFS 5.1.1 installing on an Ultra-5 from the Aurora 1.0 distribution. I am installing LFS in the same partition as Aurora using the side-by-side instructions. I am attempting to compile Bash-2.05b in Chapter 5. Applying bash-2.05b-2.patch results in the following error: lfs:/mnt/
