Possibly.  If you're going to install KDE-3.5.2, then why don't you
follow the whole BLFS SVN book?  KDE-3.5.2 has only been tested by
people here in that situation.  Besides, the SVN book is pretty stable
at this point.  It'll be turning into BLFS-6.2 some time soon.

It depends on how you were running the build, but I doubt it would
affect you poorly.  Even if it turned out that you were using
gcc-3.3.4, you'd probably come out alright.

Just follow the SVN book if what you want is in there (KDE-3.5.2)
unless you want to try to figure out errors on your own.  BTW, if you
want to follow BLFS stable, then why don't you use KDE-3.4.1?
