Could you show those errors again? I can't recall what the problem was. > Could it be possible that packages provided by BLFS6.1 are too old to compile > KDE ? Possibly. If you're going to install KDE-3.5.2, then why don't you follow the whole BLFS SVN book? KDE-3.5.2 has only been tested by people here in that situation. Besides, the SVN book is pretty stable at this point. It'll be turning into BLFS-6.2 some time soon. > Can I safely update packages provided by BLFS-svn over my existent ones, or > should I restart the overall process, begining with lfs again, and fall back > to blfs-svn ? It depends on how you were running the build, but I doubt it would affect you poorly. Even if it turned out that you were using gcc-3.3.4, you'd probably come out alright. > Thanks for your advices and your help. Just follow the SVN book if what you want is in there (KDE-3.5.2) unless you want to try to figure out errors on your own. BTW, if you want to follow BLFS stable, then why don't you use KDE-3.4.1? -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
