I just created a RIP (Rescue is Possible) boot pendrive, so I figure the process for the LFS live cd should be similar or the same. Matt is right, of course, there's no point of trying unless you know you can boot from usb 1. create a FAT16 or FAT32 filesystem on your pendrive 2. mount it and
