After extensive testing of this patch on Fedora Rawhide, and RHEL 7 and 8, I pushed a slightly modified version (contains a fix for a memory leak, and another which fixes the reverse name translation) upstream. The patch I pushed ran in a loop for 48+ hours with up to 255 disks without failing,
