Why to use Dia? LibreOffice 3.5.0 and later can open VSD files just right.

My company was used to use MS Visio to make diagrams but the license is no
longer available. Therefore, we would like to change to open source
alternative, like Dia. However, we can't use Dia to open old .vsd files.
