That bug is more general, as in applies all desktop environments. I.e. this is
not fault of qt/kde5 (correct me if I'm using the library names

With the KDE5 backend, I don't reproduce the problem, but maybe it is because
it does not adapt to the theme yet.

I see the same issue with the Adwaita-dark theme on GNOME3.30.2.
I set the "Document background" to black and the "Font color" to white under
"Options -> LibreOffice -> Application
