In the spirit of simplification.
Maybe the "Field Codes" option can be removed from:
Tools > Options > LO Writer > View - Field Codes
It does not seem to provide or do anything that View > Field Codes (Ctrl-F9)
already provide.
If true, then a rare opportunity to simply a UI dialog box.
