            Bug ID: 140374
Summary: Chart wizard in Calc places chart near top left hiding
                    cells from selection
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.1.0.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: brian.r.wh...@btinternet.com

Description:
I would like to have control of where a chart places itself when I select the
tool for 'Insert Chart' in the same sheet as my data. Perhaps this could be
done by having the empty chart start with its top left corner based on the cell
I select prior to hitting 'Insert Chart'.

My data is usually towards top left of sheet so I am finding that whichever
cell I am in before asking for the chart it always places itself near top left
over the top of my data and when I try to use the chart wizard with 'add data
series' I cannot select the cells I want to use for title, x or y values. Of
course if I selected a block of data cells first the wizard would work nicely
but the data I want to pick out for the particular chart may not be tidily in
adjacent cells so data series is the appropriate option.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open calc
2.Enter trivial data in a few rows of columns A and B
3.Do not select those cells
4.Choose Insert Chart
5.Note chart top left starts B1
6. Choose X-Y scatter
7.Choose data series
8.Choose Add
9. Select 'Series'
10 Select for example x values
11. Select up arrow to right of box where selection could be typed
12. Try to select a range for x values; you can only do so if they are in
column A.
13. Repeat 10 to 12 for y values; you cannot select them because they are
hidden under the chart.

Actual Results:
Cannot select cells as described above. I have to pick wrong range of cells
then edit them afterwards once the chart wizard has finished.

Expected Results:
As described I would like chart location to be controllable either via options
or by choosing its top left ref cell before trying to insert chart.

Reproducible: Always
