            Bug ID: 155075
Summary: ~ triggers the side panel in French localisation
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.5.2.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: bugzi...@kgb.ovh

Description:
It becomes impossible to type character ~ in French. Instead it triggers the
highly intrusive, therefore annoying side panel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In French localisation (even with a new profile), type AltGr 2é~ key (so not
the numerical keypad).
2. Optionally, check what keys are attributed to the Side panel.

Actual Results:
The side panel is triggered.
If you keep doing it, you go through a cycle of trigger and make disappear.

Expected Results:
You should be able to type a space key and get your ~ in your document. The
side panel should stay away.
Optionally you may check what key is used by the side panel; by default it is
only Shift F5.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
On French keyboards, AltGr 2é~ doesn’t produce an immediate result: if you
follow with a letter, it would print characters like ãñ…, but if you follow by
Space, it prints the ~ character.
