Tested in LO 4.0.4 and the last release 4.1.4.2 and it also fails !!!
It seems to be not working in all versions except in 3.6.2.1 and 3.7.0.0

Tested again because of request on LibreOffice QA mailing list.
The results are simple (both tests done on Mac OS X 10.6.8, Intel):
