I can confirm this bug for LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 and Presenter Console 1.1.0 both
from the Ubuntu 12.04 repositories.
My only requirement is that the displayed notes should include all newlines

Formatted notes can be an option in presenter console. I think this will be
useful in many cases.
