your second question gave me the hint i needed :-) cell C4 was formatted as
number, now its formatted as date and it works - thanks a lot for your speedy
response and i am very sorry for that stupid fau

reason is that the company firewall will not let out .ods files,
i will send you the ods file by tomorrow
