Priority: medium Bug ID: 63514 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: UI: Message in update dialog should be improved QA Contact: libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de Severity: enhancement Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: em...@christian-fries.de Hardware: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Extensions Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 77932 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=77932&action=edit Screenshoot of the Extension Update Dialog (taken from the OpenOffice Documentation) Selecting an extension update in the "Extension Update" dialog which is ready to be installed will show the message "No descriptions available for this extension". As described in http://www.openoffice.org/specs/appwide/packagemanager/online_update_for_extensions.odt (see page 18) this text is the default if "no other text" is to be displayed. The other possible text for this field are actually error message like "No write permission (shared extension)." It appears as if an extension developer has no possibility to provide an extension description for this field (is this correct? if not, how can I provide such a description). The message should be changed to something positive. Instead of "No descriptions available for this extension" use "This extension update is ready to be installed." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
