my laptop can be set to 1024 x 768 and it still looks norm

I've just tested Ubuntu 13.10 32 bit daily with LO 4.1.2 (official package),
same problem still occured.
Since not many users experience this problem, my guess the problem is from
spesific video card in Ubu

After upgrading to 4.1.2.3 the issue is no longer there. Also,
