Problem description: In most (all?) editors, pressing the up-arrow repeatedly
will take the cursor to the first character in the file (i.e., the beginning of
row 1), while repeatedly presssing the down-arrow will take the cursor to the
last character of the file (i.e., the end-of-line of the last row).
In Writer, however, the "up" action stalls in the middle of row 1, in whatever
"column" the cursor happens to be, without moving to the beginning-of-line, and
the same happens for "down" action, as the cursor stalls in the middle of the
last line, without going to end-of-line.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have a multi-line document open for editing in Writer.
2. Position cursor a few lines from top of file somewhere in the middle of a
line.
3. Press the "up-arrow" repeatedly until the cursor is in Line 1.
4. Notice that however much more you keep pressing the "up-arrow", it now will
remain static.
(Repeat 1-4 at end of file, and with down-arrow to see counterpart behaviour in
the last row.)
Expected behavior:
In (just about?) every other editing environment I'm familiar with:
- up-arrow action is completed only at beginning-of-line in line 1;
- down-arrow action is completed only at end-of-line in last line.
It's a minor irritation, but it would be good to have this action consistent
for users given that it is common in so many (all other?) similar editing
environments.
