Priority: medium Bug ID: 73453 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: EDITING: Image size limits Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: tj...@users.sourceforge.net Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.4.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 91783 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=91783&action=edit Sample document (including steps 1+2) Problem description: Images cannot be resized beyond certain limits. For images anchored as character this seems to be an area slightly smaller than the text area (inside page margins). For all other images the maximum size is limited to the page size. This behavior makes it sometimes difficult to resize images appropriately. A workaround is to switch to relative width/height in the image property dialog. Steps to reproduce: 1. New writer document (e.g. A4) 2. Insert image (preferable of a size that requires it to be resized to fit into the page) 3. Open image property dialog, ensure "keep aspect ratio" 4. Optional: Switch anchoring mode to "as character" and see how the height and/or the width changes Current behavior: The maximum width/height are limited (depending on the anchoring mode). It gets slightly worse when switching between absolute/relative values forth/back which usually leads to a wrong aspect ratio. I am surprised that changing the anchoring mode has an impact on the images size in the image property dialog (if it would otherwise hit a limit). Expected behavior: I would have expected, that the values for width and height are not limited by some invisible constraints. Operating System: Windows 8 Version: 4.1.4.2 release -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
