Priority: medium Bug ID: 74205 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Printing certain documents causes printer to hang Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: leeksou...@gmail.com Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.1.2 release Component: Printing and PDF export Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 93031 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=93031&action=edit test case document that causes printer to hang When printing some documents, my printer hangs. This problem is with Writer and also Impress. The printer may print a page or so (or not!) and then it says "Processing ..." and stays there sometimes for 20 minutes or longer. I have to power cycle it to reset as it does not respond to any cancel request. However, if I print the same document to a PDF file, and then print the PDF from Adobe Reader, there is no problem. This problem was not happening with old OpenOffice or previous 3.x version of LibreOffice. To reproduce: 1. Open file (test file attached). The test file is a docx file from URL http://www.bisd.net/cms/lib02/TX01001322/Centricity/Domain/250/2.3_Product_Rule,_Higher_Order_Derivs,_Accel.docx but saving it as ODT doens't change the print problem. 2. Print Workaround: 1. Print to file 2. Open file in Adobe Reader 3. Print Other info: The printer is a Dell 3100cn with a Linux PPD file for driver. Have had it for years and printed with no problem like this until recently. All other software prints to it fine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
