I tested with Libreoffice 4.2.1 that is currently available in Ubuntu 14.04 and
the problem is still present. The issue may have improved slightly but I can't

I tested on Windows machine with Libreoffice 4.2.1 and the problem was not
present.
I get the feeling that this issue has to do with the way Libreoffice is
interacting with libglamor (2D acceleration) on Linux for

I noticed this problem on a Linux install. I will test with 4.2.1 on a Windows
install tomorrow and report back. This may be a Linux specific issue.
